Subscription Terms
1. Provider and eligibility
Deal Intelligence is provided by Lankom Petroleum Ltd, Company No. 17178937, registered in England & Wales. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
2. Plans and price
Starter is £49 per month and Professional is £149 per month unless a different price is clearly shown at checkout. Lankom Petroleum Ltd is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not currently charged. The price presented at checkout is the total subscription price payable to us for that billing period, excluding any separate charge imposed by your own bank/payment provider.
Enterprise is individually quoted and becomes binding only when agreed in writing.
3. Subscription and contract formation
Starter and Professional are recurring monthly subscriptions. The subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. A paid subscription contract is formed when secure checkout completes and payment is accepted, subject to any confirmation email and mandatory statutory rights.
Before payment you will be shown the plan, recurring price and links to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
4. Access and account security
You must provide accurate registration information and keep login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your authorised account and for promptly telling us if credentials may have been compromised. Plan limits and feature entitlements apply as displayed.
5. Consumers — 14-day cancellation right
If you are an individual consumer entering the subscription online, you generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period starting the day after the service contract is entered into, subject to applicable exceptions and rules. You do not need to give a reason.
If you expressly ask us to begin providing Deal Intelligence during the 14-day cancellation period, we may begin immediately. If you then cancel before the service is fully performed, the law may permit us to charge a proportionate amount for service supplied up to cancellation. Your statutory rights are not waived merely because you request immediate access. Where any part of the service is legally treated as digital content, the statutory rules applicable to digital content will apply.
You can cancel within the statutory period by a clear statement to info@lankompetroleum.com or by using our model cancellation form.
6. Cancelling ongoing renewal
You can cancel future renewal through the Stripe customer billing portal where available, or by contacting us. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless mandatory consumer law gives you an earlier right. Cancel before the next renewal date to avoid the next recurring charge.
7. Refunds
Consumers: statutory cancellation, refund and service-quality rights apply and override any inconsistent term.
Business customers: fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started except where required by law, where we materially fail to provide the contracted service, or where we expressly agree otherwise.
8. Service changes and availability
We may maintain, improve, replace or discontinue individual features where reasonably necessary. We do not promise uninterrupted availability and may suspend access for maintenance, security, legal compliance, non-payment or material misuse. We will act reasonably and, where appropriate, give notice of material changes.
9. Customer data and lawful use
You retain responsibility for data and documents you upload. You must have authority and a lawful basis to upload personal, confidential or third-party information. Do not use the service for unlawful surveillance, harassment, sanctions evasion, fraud, infringement or other unlawful activity.
For business customers where we process personal data on your documented instructions, the Data Processing Addendum forms part of these terms.
10. Due diligence, market data and AI disclaimer
Deal Intelligence is a commercial decision-support tool. Due diligence reports and other outputs may combine customer-supplied information, official/public/third-party sources and automated or AI-assisted research/summarisation. Outputs can contain errors, omissions, stale information or false positives and are not a guarantee of identity, legitimacy, solvency, creditworthiness, sanctions status or transaction performance.
The service does not replace independent KYC/AML/sanctions checks, legal advice, regulated financial advice, credit assessment or professional judgement. You remain responsible for decisions and transactions made using the service.
11. Intellectual property
We own or license the Deal Intelligence software, interface, workflows, platform materials and underlying intellectual property. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the subscribed service during an active subscription. Your uploaded business data remains yours or your licensor's, subject to the processing rights needed to provide the service.
12. Confidentiality
Each party must protect confidential information received from the other and use it only for the relationship, except where disclosure is authorised or required by law.
13. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or death/personal injury caused by negligence. Consumer statutory rights are unaffected.
For business customers only, to the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings or opportunity, and our aggregate liability arising from the subscription will not exceed the fees paid or payable for Deal Intelligence in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where law does not permit that limitation.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, unlawful use, security risk or unpaid charges after any legally required notice/opportunity to remedy. On termination, access ends and data handling follows our Privacy Policy, Data Processing Addendum and applicable legal obligations.
15. Changes to terms and statutory subscription rights
We may update these terms for legal, security or service reasons. Material changes affecting an active paid subscription will be communicated where required. Any mandatory UK subscription, cooling-off, reminder, cancellation or refund rights that come into force after this version automatically apply and prevail over inconsistent wording.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Business customers submit to the courts of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory jurisdiction and consumer rights available under applicable law.
